André-Léon Vivrel
André-Léon Vivrel (8 October 1886 – 7 April 1976), was a French Painting, painter and Illustration, illustrator . Biography It was at the age of fifteen that André-Léon Vivrel decided that he would be a painter. After some initial reservation, his family became supportive of his ambition. His mother, Léonie, herself an amateur painter, was the first to support him, encouraging her son, who was later to say that she had been his only master. His very first painting was thanks to her: ‘I remember it well, it was a small landscape, a view of a wood. Henri Lebasque
Henri Lebasque (25 September 1865 – 7 August 1937) was a French Post-Impressionist painter. He was born at Champigné (Maine-et-Loire). His work is represented in French museums, notably Angers, Geneva (Petit Palais), Lille ( Musée des Beaux-Arts), Nantes, and Paris ( Musée d’Orsay). Education and artistic development He started his education at the École régionale des beaux-arts d'Angers, and moved to Paris in 1886. There, Lebasque started studying under Léon Bonnat, and assisted Ferdinand Humbert with the decorative murals at the Panthéon. Pierre Bonnard
Pierre Bonnard (; 3 October 186723 January 1947) was a French painter, illustrator and printmaker, known especially for the stylized decorative qualities of his paintings and his bold use of color. A founding member of the Post-Impressionist group of avant-garde painters Les Nabis, his early work was strongly influenced by the work of Paul Gauguin, as well as the prints of Hokusai and other Japanese artists. Bonnard was a leading figure in the transition from Impressionism to Modernism.
