Andriy Popovych
Andriy Volodymyrovych Popovych (; ; born 4 March 1992) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Kyrgyzaltyn in Kyrgyz Premier League. Born in Ukraine, he played for the Azerbaijan national team. Career Club Andriy Popovych began playing football in Ukraine. He played for Zakarpattia Uzhhorod and Metalurh Donetsk before signing a contract with FC Baku. In 2010 he was a part of Absheron which won Azerbaijan First Division. In 2011, he signed for Sumgayit FK followed by Turan Tovuz in 2012. In 2013, he signed with Tavşanlı Linyitspor, but in winter 2014 he returned to Sumgayit. In June 2015, Popovych signed for Gabala FK. He left Gabala a year later, on 6 June 2016. On February 10, 2025, it was reported that Popovych signed a one-year contract with the Kyrgyz club Kyrgyzaltyn. The 2012–13 Azerbaijan Premier League was the twenty-first season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. The season began on 4 August 2012 and finished on 20 May 2013. Neftchi Baku PFC, Neftchi Baku, the champions from the previous 2011–12 Azerbaijan Premier League, season, defended their title. Turan Tovuz () is an Azerbaijani football club based in Tovuz. The club won the Azerbaijan championship once, in 1994–1995. The club's home stadium is Tovuz City Stadium. The 2011–12 Azerbaijan Premier League (known as the Unibank Premyer Liqası for sponsorship reasons) was the twentieth season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. Neftchi Baku was the defending champions, having won their second Azerbaijani championship the previous season. The twelve teams participating in the league included the ten sides remaining from the 2010–11 season, one promoted club from the 2010–11 Azerbaijan First Division and a totally new club instead of the defunct First Division champions FC Absheron. Abşeron FK is an Azerbaijani football club. The club plays in the AFFA Amateur League. History Founded in 2010, the club immediately gained admittance to the Azerbaijan First Division in 2010. In April 2011 the team secured their promotion to Azerbaijan Premier League after clinching First division's champion title. Absheron had an unbeaten run in the first division and broke new records for a club with most points in the first division and most victories in a season. FC Baku (), founded as Dinamo Baku in 1997, was an Azerbaijani football club based in Baku that had been an amateur club since 2016. Prior to that, Baku played 18 seasons in the Azerbaijan Premier League, winning the championship twice and the National Cup three times. The club ceased operations in 2018.
