Andrew Scott (guitarist)
Andrew David Scott (born 30 June 1949) is a Welsh musician and songwriter. He is best known for being the lead guitarist and a backing vocalist in the glam rock band Sweet. Following bassist Steve Priest's death in June 2020, Scott is the last surviving member of the band's classic lineup. Career Early life and career Scott was born on 30 June 1949 in Wrexham, North Wales. He started out playing bass guitar. His first gig was at St Peters Hall in Wrexham with The Rasjaks in November 1963 and then with other bands in Wales such as Guitars Incorporated and 3Ds. He then progressed to guitar and played with other bands including The Saints, The ForeWinds, and The Missing Links. In 1966 he joined The Silverstone Set (later shortened to The Silverstones), who won the TV show '' Opportunity Knocks'' five weeks running, and appeared in the all-winners show for Christmas 1966, losing to Freddie Starr. Wacken Open Air
Wacken Open Air (, abbreviated as W:O:A) is a Heavy metal music, heavy metal music festival, held annually since 1990 on the first weekend of August in the village of Wacken, Schleswig-Holstein, Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Almost all styles and subgenres of hard rock and heavy metal music, metal are represented and hosted. It is now one of the largest heavy metal festivals in the world and one of the largest open-air festivals in Germany. ''Desolation Boulevard'' is the third studio album by English glam rock band Sweet, released in the UK in November 1974. Two noticeably different versions of the album were released: one by RCA Records in Europe, and another by Capitol Records in the United States, Canada and Japan. The RCA version contains the single "Turn It Down" and the original recording of "Fox on the Run." The Capitol version, released in the United States in May 1975, includes the band's 1973 hit single "The Ballroom Blitz" and the single version of "Fox on the Run." In the U.S., the album peaked at #25 on 25 October 1975. All Cannings (pronounced "Allcannings") is a village and Civil parishes in England, civil parish in the English county of Wiltshire, about east of Devizes. Weapon was a Canadian black/death metal band formed by frontman Vetis Monarch in Calgary, Alberta in 2003. History After the formation of the band, Vetis temporarily moved to his birthplace of Dhaka, Bangladesh to record the ''Within the Flesh of the Satanist'' demo tape and the ''Violated Hejab'' EP. Mal McNulty
Malcolm McNulty (born 7 December 1951) is an English rock musician, best known as a vocalist with Hazzard, bass player then vocalist with Sweet, and as a former vocalist and guitarist with Slade from 2005 to 2019. Biography McNulty was born in Liverpool in December 1951. He joined German heavy rock band Hazzard in 1984, which had been formed by Herman Frank, formerly of Accept, and recorded their debut album ''Hazzard''. In 1985, he was invited to join Sweet, where he played bass before taking over vocals, recording the albums ''Live at the Marquee'', ''A'' and ''Alive & Giggin'!'' as well as the singles "X-Ray-Specs" and "Stand Up". He left the band in 1994. During his time with Sweet, he also collaborated on the side project Paddy Goes to Holyhead with Andy Scott (also of Sweet), releasing the singles "The Green Green Grass of Home" and "Delilah" in 1987.
