Andrew Pinson
Andrew Alan Pinson (born 1986) is an American lawyer who was appointed to serve as an associate justice of the Georgia Supreme Court since 2022. He served as a judge of the Georgia Court of Appeals from 2021 to 2022. Education Pinson received a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance ''summa cum laude'' from the University of Georgia and his Juris Doctor ''summa cum laude'' from the University of Georgia School of Law. While at Georgia Law, he served as Executive Articles Editor for the ''Georgia Law Review''. Legal career Pinson served as a law clerk to judge David B. Sentelle of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and then to associate justice Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court of the United States. Pinson was a lawyer at Jones Day in Atlanta where he served in the issues and appeals practice. John Jenkins Barrow (born October 31, 1955) is an American politician who was the United States House of Representatives, U.S. representative for from 2005 to 2015. He is a member of the Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party. Described as "extraordinarily crafty and unquestionably persistent on the stump," Barrow survived several tough reelection bids in an increasingly Republican district. Harold Melton
Harold David Melton (born September 25, 1966) is a former chief justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia. Early years and education A 1984 graduate of Joseph Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia, Melton received a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1991. From 1991 to 2002, he served as a Volunteer Leader of Young Life Ministries and is currently a board member of Atlanta Youth Academy and the Director of Teen Ministry at Southwest Christian Fellowship Church. While at Auburn University, Melton served as the Student Government Association President for the 1987–88 academic year. He was the first African-American student elected to that position in Auburn history. He was also the first "independent" (non-fraternity member) to be elected to that position.
