KSAZ-TV (channel 10) is a television station in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. It is owned and operated by the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox network through its Fox Television Stations division alongside KUTP (channel 45), which airs MyNetworkTV programming. The two stations share studios on West Adams Street in Downtown Phoenix; KSAZ-TV's transmitter is located atop South Mountains (Arizona), South Mountain. Channel 10 was the third television station established in the Phoenix area, making its first broadcast on October 24, 1953. Arizona's 9th Congressional District
Arizona's 9th congressional district was created as a result of the 2010 census. The first candidates ran in the 2012 House elections, and the first representative was seated for the 113th Congress in 2013. Formerly located in the Phoenix area, the 9th district has been in western Arizona since 2023. Paul Gosar, who previously represented the 1st and 4th districts, was elected to the seat in 2022 following redistricting. He was sworn in on January 3, 2023. With a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of R+15, it is the most Republican district in Arizona. Andrei Hugo Cherny (born August 4, 1975) is an American politician and businessman. He served as the chair of the Arizona Democratic Party from 2011–2012. He co-founded Aspiration, Inc., an eco-friendly financial firm based in Marina del Rey, California, and was its chief executive officer from 2013 to October 2022. Earlier in his career, Cherny co-founded '' Democracy: A Journal of Ideas.'' Later he was a candidate for various Arizona state offices, and in congressional district primary elections. Early life and education Cherny was born in Los Angeles, on August 4, 1975. His parents, Helena and Pavel, were Czechoslovak Jewish immigrants who initially spoke little English. As of 2023, there are 54 precincts in the district, all in Maricopa, with a total registered voter population of 126,361. The district has an overall population of 239,088. The Federal Election Commission (FEC) is an independent agency of the United States government that enforces U.S. campaign finance laws and oversees U.S. federal elections. Created in 1974 through amendments to the Federal Election Campaign Act, the commission describes its duties as "to disclose campaign finance information, to enforce the provisions of the law such as the limits and prohibitions on contributions, and to oversee the public funding of Presidential elections." It is led by six commissioners who are nominated by the president and confirmed by the Senate.
