Andrew Forsman
Andrew Clark Forsman is an American drummer and percussionist from Mukilteo, Washington, known as one of the founding members of the Seattle-based progressive rock band The Fall of Troy. Early life and youth career Forsman grew up in Mukilteo, Washington and graduated from Kamiak High School in 2004. Forsman started drumming at a young age. When he was in 7th grade, his parents told him that money was tight, and he had to stop taking drum lessons. His instructor at the time, Rick Strenslan, was so confident in his student's future success that he continued to give Forsman lessons for free. In high school he joined the Kamiak Show Band drumline, where he befriended Fall of Troy member Thomas Erak. Starting in his sophomore year of high school, Forsman was involved in a band with fellow Fall of Troy members called The 30 Years War. Mukilteo, Washington
Mukilteo ( ; ) is a city in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. It is located on Puget Sound between Edmonds, Washington, Edmonds and Everett, Washington, Everett, approximately north of Seattle. The city had a population of 20,254 at the 2010 United States Census, 2010 census and an estimated 2019 population of 21,441. The current site of downtown Mukilteo (also named Old Town) has been inhabited by the Snohomish people for at least 1,000 years before present. The Treaty of Point Elliott was signed in Mukilteo in 1855, opening the region to American settlement. A new town was founded at Mukilteo and served as the provisional county seat of Snohomish County in early 1861. Equal Vision Records
Equal Vision Records is an independent record label based in Albany, New York. It was founded in the early 1990s by Ray Cappo, the singer for the punk bands Youth of Today, Shelter, and Better Than a Thousand. Initially, the label existed solely to distribute Shelter and other Krishna releases. In 1992, label manager Steve Reddy acquired Equal Vision from Cappo. The focus of the label expanded, bringing a wider variety of bands on board. According to ''Punk News'', the mid-to-late '90s witnessed a renewed emphasis on hardcore efforts at Equal Vision, with notable signings such as One King Down and Ten Yard Fight. By the end of the '90s, Equal Vision Records (EVR) had built a stable of hardcore and punk bands, adding Bane, Trial, Converge, and Saves the Day to its roster in the latter part of the decade. A drummer is a percussionist who creates music using drums. Most contemporary western bands that play rock, pop, jazz, or R&B music include a drummer for purposes including timekeeping and embellishing the musical timbre. ''Manipulator'' is the third studio album from mathcore band The Fall of Troy, from Mukilteo, Washington. It was recorded at Robert Lang Studios, Red Room Studios, and Avast Classic, in Seattle, Washington. It was released on May 1, 2007 through Equal Vision Records, and is the follow-up to their previous 2005 effort, ''Doppelgänger''. The title of the album is taken from the song "Sledgehammer". Information The album was written in 2006 during what was to vocalist/guitarist Thomas Erak "a really dark time" in his life. Erak states: "We wanted to expand upon our band in every direction musically and attitude-wise", resulting in a much more eclectic album; one that "always keeps listeners guessing." The band also wanted to pursue some of their more pop and pop-rock influences.
