Andrew David Edwards (born 17 September 1971) is an English former professional footballer and manager, currently working as an assistant coach of the England youth teams with the Football Association. During his playing career he achieved six promotions and played for a number of clubs, including Southend United, Birmingham City, Peterborough United, Rushden & Diamonds, Grays Athletic and Aldershot Town. He was manager of Leyton Orient before joining the FA in 2017. Playing career Edwards started his career as a schoolboy at West Ham United before signing scholarship forms at Southend United in 1988. He made his debut as a 17-year-old against Wigan Athletic in the same year. After signing as a professional with the "Shrimpers" in 1989, Edwards enjoyed successive promotions to the second tier of English football and enjoyed five years at that level before being transferred to Birmingham City in July 1995 for a fee of £450,000. Andy Edwards (born 1968) is a British drummer and multi-instrumentalist musician, who is best known as former member of the progressive rock bands Frost* and IQ (band), IQ. Robert Plant's Priory of Brion Edwards first came to prominence as the drummer in Robert Plant's Priory of Brion. Formed in 1999, the band performed over one hundred concerts across Europe. With the dissolution of this band in late 2000, Edwards became the UK's master drum clinician for Tama Drums, Tama drums, performing at many of the major drum festivals and contributing to articles for a variety of drums magazines including Rhythm Magazine, Modern Drummer and Ragazzi. In 2001 readers of Rhythm Magazine voted Edwards as one of the top ten drum clinicians in the UK. Andrew Nicholas Edwards (born 12 November 1978) is a former English cricketer. Edwards was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break. He was born in Delft, Netherlands. Edwards made his debut in List A cricket for the Gloucestershire Cricket Board against the Yorkshire Cricket Board in the 1999 NatWest Trophy. From 1999 to 2001, he represented the Board in 2 further List A matches. These came against the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board and the Yorkshire Cricket Board, both in the 2000 NatWest Trophy.
