Andrej Komac
Andrej Komac (born 4 December 1979) is a Slovenian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. International career Komac has represented Slovenia at the under-21 level, before making his senior debut in 2004. He was selected to the final Slovenian squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. At the tournament, he played in two Group C matches as a late substitute and received one yellow card. Overall, he earned a total of 43 caps for Slovenia, scoring no goals. Å empeter pri Gorici (, also generally known simply as ''Å empeter''; ) is a town and the administrative seat of the Municipality of Å empeter-Vrtojba in the Slovene Littoral region of Slovenia. There is a border crossing into the Italian town of Gorizia. Through most of its history, it was linked to the town of Gorizia (), which is now in Italy, whence also its name, literally meaning 'St. Peter near Gorizia'. Since 1947, it has been gravitating towards the newly established town of Nova Gorica, with which it forms a continuous conurbation. Group C of the 2010 FIFA World Cup began on 12 June and ended on 23 June 2010. The group consisted of national association football teams from England, the United States, Algeria and Slovenia. The United States and England progressed to the round of 16 undefeated. The United States won the group, winning one match and drawing two. England had an identical record and goal difference but the United States finished top having scored more goals than England. Slovenia finished the group third having won a game, with Algeria finishing fourth with a single point.
