Bălți (; russian: Бельцы, , uk, Бєльці, , yi, בעלץ ) is a city in Moldova. It is the second largest city in terms of population, area and economic importance, after Chișinău. The city is one of the five Moldovan municipalities. Sometimes also called "the northern capital", it is a major industrial, cultural and commercial centre and transportation hub in the north of the country. It is situated north of the capital Chișinău, and is located on the river Răut, a tributary of the Dniester, on a hilly landscape in the Bălți steppe. Name The word "''bălți''" (pl. of Romanian sing. FC Dynamo Makhachkala (russian: ФК Динамо Махачкала) is a Russian football club based in Makhachkala. Club history In the 2006 season Dynamo finished 16th in the Russian First Division. However, the club was denied the professional license and thus relegated to amateur level. Colours are all white (home) or white shirt with broad blue stripe, blue shorts (away). The club was founded in 1946 and debuted in the North Caucasus zone of the Soviet Group 3, finishing seventh of eight teams. FC Novokuznetsk (Russian: ФК Новокузнецк) is a Russian football club from Novokuznetsk. Recent history MKN were relegated to the Russian Second Division after an 18th-place finish in 2005, and only finished 2nd in the "East" region, thus keeping them down another season. However, Lada Togliatti and Dinamo Makhachkala were denied licences for the First Division and thus also relegated. This, alongside the bankruptcy of Angusht Nazran, pushed Metallurg up alongside other second-place finishers SKA Rostov-na-Donu and Mordovia Saransk. In 2012/13 season, playing as FC Metallurg-Kuzbass Novokuznetsk in the second level (Russian National Football League), it dropped out of the competition due to financial difficulties.
