Andrei Chikatilo
Andrei Romanovich Chikatilo (; ; 16 October 1936 – 14 February 1994) was a Ukrainian-born Soviet serial killer nicknamed "the Butcher of Rostov", "the Rostov Ripper", and "the Red Ripper" who sexual assault, sexually assaulted, murdered, and mutilated at least fifty-two women and children between 1978 and 1990 in the Russian SFSR, the Ukrainian SSR, and the Uzbek SSR. Chikatilo confessed to fifty-six murders; he was tried for fifty-three murders in April 1992. He was convicted and Capital punishment in Russia, sentenced to death for fifty-two of these murders in October 1992, although the Supreme Court of Russia ruled in 1993 that Burden of proof (law), insufficient evidence existed to prove his guilt in nine of those killings. Chikatilo was executed by gunshot in February 1994. Andrei Viktorovich Markov (; born 20 December 1978) is a Russians, Russian-Canadians, Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. Nicknamed "the General", Markov formerly played from 2000 to 2017 with the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). He holds both Russian and Canadian citizenship. Andrei Olegovich Kostitsyn (; ; born 3 February 1985) is a former Belarusian professional ice hockey forward. Andrei Pavlovich Kirilenko (; , ; – 12 May 1990) was a Soviet politician, and a member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Andrei Gennadyevich Kirilenko (; born February 18, 1981), nicknamed AK-47, is a Russian basketball executive and former professional basketball player. At age fifteen, Kirilenko began playing professional basketball in the Russian Basketball Super League. He played for CSKA Moscow from 1998 to 2001, winning the Russian league MVP award in 2000.
