Andreas Zagklis
Andreas Zagklis (; born 1980) is a Greek lawyer and basketball executive, who is the current secretary general of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). Early life and education Zagklis received his undergraduate and post-graduate degrees from the Law School of the University of Athens while he spent two semesters as a visiting student at the University of Salamanca and the University of Western Ontario respectively. He also completed the postgraduate programme on Olympic Studies at the International Olympic Academy. Most recently, Zagklis attended the Leadership in Corporate Counsel programme at the Harvard Law School. Zagklis is a research fellow at the Hellenic Center of Research on sports law and is recognized as a sports law expert for Greece, appointed by the Asser International Sports Law Center, based in The Hague, in various projects commissioned by the European Union. Patrick Baumann (basketball)
Patrick Baumann (5 August 196713 October 2018) was a Swiss basketball executive, player and coach. He was the President of the Global Association of International Sports Federations and Secretary General of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). He was posthumously inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020. Background Baumann was born in Basel on 5 August 1967. He was involved in many aspects of the basketball world. He played basketball while in Italy and also served as a referee. In Switzerland, he trained referees, coached a basketball team, ran clinics and organized tournaments. Melissia
Melissia () is a town and a suburb in the northeastern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Penteli, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 3.956 km2. The 2006 Winter Olympics (), officially the XX Olympic Winter Games () and also known as Torino 2006, were a winter multi-sport event held from 10 to 26 February in Turin, Italy. Arvydas Macijauskas (born 19 January 1980) is a Lithuanian former professional basketball player. Standing at tall, he played at the shooting guard position. Widely considered one of the greatest Lithuanian players of the 2000s, he won numerous individual awards, as well as club and national team titles. After starting his professional career with Neptūnas, he later played for some top EuroLeague teams, such as Tau Ceramica and Olympiacos. Giorgos Sigalas (alternate spelling: Georgios) (; born 31 July 1971 in Peristeri, Greece) is a Greek former professional basketball player and is the current head coach of Greek Basketball League club Iraklis. During the decade of the 1990s, the tall swingman was the regular team captain of the pro club Olympiacos Piraeus, of the Greek League and the EuroLeague, and also of the Greece men's national basketball team.
