Andreas Sjalg Unneland (born 30 June 1994) is a Norwegian politician. He is member of the Storting from 2021, representing the Socialist Left Party, elected from the constituency of Oslo. Political career Unneland was deputy representative to the Storting for the period 2017–2021, from the constituency of Hordaland. He chaired Socialist Youth from 2018 to 2020. He was elected representative to the Storting from the constituency of Oslo for the period 2021–2025, for the Socialist Left Party. Personal life Unneland was born on 30 June 1994. Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". Oslo (Storting Constituency)
Oslo is one of the 19 multi-member constituencies of the Storting, the national legislature of Norway. The constituency was established as Kristiania in 1921 following the introduction of proportional representation for elections to the Storting. It was renamed Oslo from 1925. Hordaland
Hordaland () was a county in Norway, bordering Sogn og Fjordane, Buskerud, Telemark, and Rogaland counties. Hordaland was the third largest county, after Akershus and Oslo, by population. Socialist Youth ( Norwegian: ''Sosialistisk Ungdom'') is the youth league of the Socialist Left Party of Norway. The current head of the organisation is Synnøve Kronen Snyen. SU considers itself a revolutionary party consisting of Marxists and wants to gain popular support for socialism in Norway. In this respect it differs from SV, the mother party. SU organises some 850 members between the age of 13 and 30. They have regional branches in all 19 counties, and have around 60 local groups. At several universities and colleges SU also organises student groups. SU does well in school elections in urban areas, but has less support in rural regions and in the north of Norway.
