Andreas Meling
Andreas Meling (22 September 1839 – 8 August 1928) was a Norwegian ship owner and politician. Biography He was born in Sole as a son of bailiff Enok Torgersen and Elen Røgh Skavlan. In 1864 he married Lina Monsen, whose brother was a locally known painter and sister married Peter Hærem. Meling was a shipmaster for much of his career, until 1881. He served as Mayor of Stavanger from 1893. He was elected to the Parliament of Norway in 1894, after having previously served as a deputy representative. Hans Lindahl Falck
Hans Lindahl Falck (19 March 1863 – 1937) was a Norwegian ship-owner and politician. He was born in Stavanger as a son of Thomas Scheen Falck, Sr. (1829–1889) and Anna Lindahl (1842–1921). He was a brother of consul Christian Fredrik Falck. In 1890 he married Karen Johanne Poulsson. Their son Thomas Scheen Falck, Jr. became a notable ship-owner. Falck took commercial education in Germany, England, France and the United States. He then started a career in the family company ''Ths. S. Falck'' in 1888, and advanced to co-owner in 1889. Falck was elected as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from ''Stavanger og Haugesund'' during the term 1895–1897. He was a member of Stavanger city council for 25 years, serving as mayor for eight years. From 1890 to 1914 he also served as a consul for the German Empire. Søren Tobias Årstad
Søren Tobias Årstad (2 June 1861 – 11 January 1928) was a Norwegian jurist and politician for the Liberal Party. He was mayor of Stavanger from 1891 to 1892, and a member of the Storting from 1897 to 1900. A member of the cabinet Steen, he served as Minister of Finance, and he was Minister of Justice and the Police in Otto Blehr's first cabinet. A member of the Storting from 1912 tp 1915, he served as vice president and president of the Storting. Personal life Årstad was born in Stavanger as a son of merchant Edvard Årstad and his wife Signe Amalie Torjusen. He was a first cousin of Wilhelm Aarstad. He married Barbro Cecilie Rasmussen in 1890. Career Årstad finished his secondary education in 1879 and graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1885.
