Andrea Soddu (born 18 December 1974 in Nuoro, Italy) is an Italian politician. He ran as an independent for Mayor of Nuoro at the 2015 Italian local elections, supported by a civic coalition and the Sardinian Action Party. He took office on 16 June 2015. In November 2020, Soddu is re-confirmed mayor of Nuoro for a second term. 2015 Italian Local Elections
The 2015 Italian local elections were to be held on 31 May, with a second round on 14 June, concurrently with the Regional elections. In Italy, direct elections were held in 1,063 municipalities: in each municipality (''comune'') were chosen mayor and members of the City Council. Sardinian Action Party
The Sardinian Action Party ( sc, Partidu Sardu, it, Partito Sardo d'Azione, PSd'Az or PSdA) is a Sardinian nationalist, regionalist and separatist political party in Sardinia. While being traditionally part of the Sardinian centre-left, the party has also sided with the centre-right coalition and, more recently, with the League. 2020 Italian Local Elections
The 2020 Italian local elections were held on different dates; they were originally scheduled to take place in May 2020, together with the 2020 regional elections, with a second round on June, but they were delayed on 20 and 21 September with a second round on 4 and 5 October due to the coronavirus pandemic in Italy.
