Andrea Klambauer
Andrea Klambauer (; born 24 February 1977) is an Austrian politician of NEOS – The New Austria and Liberal Forum, NEOS – The New Austria who has served as minister in the Salzburg (state), Salzburg state government since 2018. She is also federal deputy leader and state spokeswoman for NEOS. Early life and education Andrea Klambauer attended the Wirtschaftskundliches Realgymnasium in Floridsdorf in Vienna, where she graduated in 1995. She then completed a course in business consultancy professions at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt, which she completed in 2000 with a Magister degree. Since 1998 she has worked in various companies in human resources, for example at Billa Dienstleistungs GmbH as an assistant to the corporate personnel developer, from 2000 at Hewitt Associates as a human resources (HR) consultant and from 2004 to 2006 for Siemens in Beijing as HR manager. The ''Kronen Zeitung'' (), commonly known as the ''Krone'', is Austria's largest newspaper. It is known for being Eurosceptic. History The first issue of the ''Kronen Zeitung'' appeared on 2 January 1900. Gustav Davis, a former army officer, was the founder. The name referred to the monthly purchase price of one crown (it did not refer to the monarchic crown), recently made possible after the abolition of bureaucratic duties on newspapers (''Zeitungsstempelgebühr'') on 31 December 1899. Beate Meinl-Reisinger (born 25 April 1978) is an Austrian politician serving as leader of NEOS – The New Austria and Liberal Forum since June 2018. She is also the leader of the party's parliamentary group in the National Council since 2018. 2019 Austrian Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Austria on 29 September 2019 to elect the 27th National Council, the lower house of Austria's bicameral parliament. The snap election was called in the wake of the Ibiza affair in May, which caused the resignation of Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache and the collapse of the governing coalition of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) and Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). The government subsequently lost a motion of no confidence in parliament, and ÖVP Chancellor Sebastian Kurz was replaced by non-partisan Brigitte Bierlein on an interim basis. The conservative ÖVP achieved its best result since 2002, improving its vote share six percentage points.
