Ando (mobile App)
Ando was an online food delivery app that was created by David Chang. History David Chang, Korean-American founder and chef of noodle restaurant chain Momofuku based out of New York City founded Ando in May 2016. Both companies were named after Momofuku Ando, the inventor of instant noodles. The company began to be developed in 2013 in collaboration with Garrett Camp's startup accelerator Expa. The menu was designed by Chang and former WD-50 chef J.J Basil. It featured American cuisine like cheesesteaks, donuts and Milk Bar cookies. Ando has stated that its menu and food selection was "designed for delivery," meaning that it would keep well during long delivery times. Orders could accepted through the company's app, website or Seamless. The food was delivered by UberRUSH to the destination. David Chang
David Chang ( Korean: ; born August 5, 1977) is an American restaurateur, author, podcaster, and television personality. He is the founder of the Momofuku restaurant group. In 2009, Momofuku Ko was awarded two Michelin stars, which the restaurant has retained each year since. He co-founded the influential food magazine Lucky Peach in 2011 which lasted for 25 quarterly volumes into 2017. In 2018, Chang created, produced, and starred in a Netflix original series called '' Ugly Delicious'', and through his Majordomo Media group, he has produced and/or starred in more television and podcasts. Uber Eats is an online food ordering and delivery platform launched by Uber in 2014. Meals are delivered by couriers using cars, scooters, bikes, or on foot. It is operational in over 6,000 cities across 45 countries as of 2021. Momofuku is a culinary brand established by chef David Chang in 2004 with the opening of Momofuku Noodle Bar. , was an inventor and businessman who founded Nissin Food Products Co., Ltd. He is known as the inventor of instant noodles (ramen noodles) and the creator of the brands Top Ramen and Cup Noodles. Early life and education Ando was born Go Pek-Hok () in 1910 into a wealthy family of Hoklo Chinese ethnicity in Chiayi County, when the island of Taiwan was under Japanese colonial rule. He was raised by his grandparents within the city walls of Tainan following the deaths of his parents. His grandparents owned a small textiles store, which inspired him, at the age of 22, to start his own textiles company, using 190,000 yuan, in Tōa-tiū-tiâⁿ, Taipei.
