Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy
The Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy is awarded to the winner of each Test cricket series between England and India. The trophy was introduced in 2025 and is named in honour of England's former fast bowler James Anderson and India's former batsman Sachin Tendulkar to replace the Pataudi Trophy & Anthony de Mello Trophy. History The series forms part of the ICC Future Tours Programme. The gap between tours may vary depending on scheduling. To claim the Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy, a team must win the series; if the series is drawn, the side holding the trophy from the previous series retains it. The Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy replaced both the Pataudi Trophy & Anthony de Mello Trophy, which were awarded for series winners hosted in England and India respectively. The Anthony de Mello Trophy is awarded to the winner of the England-India Test cricket series held in India. The trophy was instituted in 1951, when England toured India for a five-match series. The trophy is named after Anthony de Mello, an Indian cricket administrator and one of the founders of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi
Nawab Mohammad Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi (also known as Mansur Ali Khan or M. A. K. Pataudi; 5 January 1941 – 22 September 2011; nicknamed Tiger Pataudi) was an Indian cricketer and a former captain of the Indian cricket team. Pataudi was appointed India's cricket captain at the age of 21, and described as "one of (its) greatest". Nawab Mohammad Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi, sometimes I. A. K. Pataudi (16 March 1910 – 5 January 1952), was an Indian prince and cricket player. He was the captain of the India's national cricket team during its tour of England in 1946. His son Mansoor also later served as captain of the India cricket team. The ICC Future Tours Programme (ICC FTP) is a schedule of international cricket tours and tournaments which structure the programme of cricket events for International Cricket Council (ICC) full members and associate members with One Day International (ODI) status, over a period of time. The FTP schedules bilateral cricket tours with the objective of each team playing each other at least once at home and once away over a period of 10 years known as the "Ten Year Plan" since 2006.
