Anders Wendin
Anders Olof Wendin (born 16 March 1975, Norrtälje, Sweden) is a Swedish rock musician, best known for his solo project Moneybrother. Career After the split-up of his ska-punk band Monster, Wendin took a new direction and released Moneybrother's debut album '' Blood Panic'' in 2003. His second album, '' To Die Alone'', was released in 2005. The music of Moneybrother can be described as a soul-oriented blend, incorporating influences from rock, reggae and disco. In December 2006, Moneybrother released his third album, '' Pengabrorsan''. The title is a literal Swedish translation of Moneybrother, and the album is his first in the Swedish language. It consists of cover versions of English songs, translated into Swedish. August 2007 saw the release of his fourth album '' Mount Pleasure'', which debuted at number one on the Swedish album chart. Arvika Festival
Arvika Festival () was an annual music festival held in Arvika, Sweden. It took place during three days in the middle of July, from Thursday to Saturday, with camping available from the beginning of the week. The non-profit association "Galaxen" (Swedish for "The Galaxy") arranged the festival. Since the nineties, the festival had built up a tradition of booking many big synth bands. This was initially an unintended side effect: for the first festival in 1992 the arrangers had booked Cat Rapes Dog, Pouppée Fabrikk and S.P.O.C.K. and about 50% of the audience that showed up was actually mostly interested in these bands since no other festival booked many synth acts. However, along with the synth bands, internationally and nationally famous rock and pop acts visit the festival every year, attracting people not only interested in synth music. Så mycket bättre (, ) is a Swedish reality television show broadcast on TV4 (Sweden), TV4. The basic premise is that each participating musician performs their own version of a well-known song by another artist, with each episode focusing on every participant performing a different song by the same artist. The musicians spend eight days together at a hotel in Gotland, where they re-interpret the songs in their own styles. "Downtown Train" is a song by Tom Waits released on his album ''Rain Dogs'' in 1985. The promo video for the song was directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, and features boxer Jake LaMotta and Neith Hunter. Rod Stewart version Rod Stewart recorded a cover version that became a number-three hit on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart after being released as a single in late 1989, and was also a number-one single on the album rock and adult contemporary charts. The song went to number one in Canada and made the top ten on the UK Singles Chart in 1990. Stewart received a Grammy nomination for the song in the category Best Male Pop Vocal performance.
