Anders Skaarup Rasmussen
Anders Skaarup Rasmussen (born 15 February 1989) is a Danish badminton player. Rasmussen won the men's doubles title at the 2018 European Championships and at the 2023 European Games partnered with Kim Astrup. He also won the bronze medal at the World Championships in 2021 and later a silver medal in 2023. Together with Astrup, he reached a career high of World number 1 in the men's doubles in December 2024. Rasmussen joined the Denmark winning team at the European mixed team championships in 2015, 2019 and 2021; European men's team championships in 2014, 2016 and 2020; and the grade 1 badminton tournament World men's team championships, the Thomas Cup in 2016. Odder
Odder is a town in Jutland, Denmark. The town is the seat of Odder municipality, and is the biggest town in the municipality. It is located 20 km south of Aarhus and 16 km south-east of Skanderborg. Odder is part of Business Region Aarhus, and the East Jutland metropolitan area, and is served by the Odder Line since 1884 before the line was rebuilt to be part of the Aarhus Letbane in 2016-2018. Badminton At The 2023 European Games – Men's Doubles
The men's doubles badminton tournament at the 2023 European Games was played from 26 June to 1 July 2023 in Arena Jaskółka, Tarnów. A total of 32 players in 16 pairs competed at the tournament, four of which pairs was seeded. Competition format The tournament starts with a group phase round-robin which will eliminate 8 pairs, followed by a single-elimination knockout stage. For the group stage, the players are divided into four groups of four. Each group plays a round-robin. The top two pairs in each group advanced to the knockout rounds. The knockout stage is a three-round single elimination tournament without a bronze medal match. Matches are played best-of-three games. Each game is played to 21, except that a player must win by 2 unless the score reaches 30–29.
