Anders Bergene
Anders Edvard Olsen Bergene (16 June 1855 – 18 August 1920) was a Norwegian businessperson. He founded the chocolate and confectionery company Bergene. Bergene was born at the parish of Hedrum in Vestfold, Norway. He was the son of Ole Kristian Hansen (1828-1900) and Edel Marie Andersdatter. He departed early from home, first to Skien, then at age 20 to Kristiania (now Oslo), where he had several positions with retail stores, including with merchant F. H. Dethloff. He worked as a wholesaler under the trade name ''A. Bergene Colonial en Gros'' from 1882 and from 1890 he also sold candy and peppermint lozenges. In 1906, he acquired the firm of ''A/S Olaf Larsens Chocoladefabrik''. He expanded the operation to establish ''A. Bergene Chokoladefabrik'', a chocolate factory in the neighborhood of Rodeløkka. Bergene
Bergene (A. Bergene Chokoladefabrik) was a producer of chocolate and other sweets in Oslo. The factory was established by colonial trader Anders Bergene in 1906, when he took over the premises in ''Københavngata'' after Olaf Larsens Chokoladefabrik (later ASOLA) moved out, before later being established in ''Akersbakken''. First generation: Anders Bergene When it opened on Rodeløkka in 1906, Bergene had 40 employees, but chocolate production was a problem due to steam engines and other equipment often breaking down and needing repairs. Hedrum
Hedrum is a parish and the site of a historic church in Vestfold county, Norway. Hedrum was annexed by Larvik on January 1, 1988. History The parish of Hedrum was established as a municipality on January 1, 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Small parts of Hedrum were transferred to the city of Larvik in 1855, 1875, 1937 and 1948. Border adjustments between Hedrum and the neighboring municipalities Andebu, Tjølling and Siljan also took place. Hedrum was incorporated into the enlarged Larvik municipality on January 1, 1988. Before the merger Hedrum had a population of 10,449. Hedrum located in Lågendalen, the lower part of the valley that follows the river Numedalslågen. Vestfold
Vestfold is a traditional region, a former county and a current electoral district in Eastern Norway. In 2020 the county became part of the much larger county of Vestfold og Telemark. Located on the western shore of the Oslofjord, it bordered the previous Buskerud and Telemark counties. The county administration was located in Tønsberg, Norway's oldest city, and the largest city is Sandefjord. With the exception of the city-county of Oslo, Vestfold was the smallest county in Norway by area. Skien
Skien () is a city and municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county in Norway. In modern times it is regarded as part of the traditional region of Grenland, although historically it belonged to Grenmar/Skiensfjorden, while Grenland referred the Norsjø area and Bø. Oslo

Nora Industrier
Nora Industrier was a Norwegian company, most of its history involved in manufacturing of soft drinks and foodstuffs. It traced its history back to the brewery St. Halvard Bryggeri, established in Pilestredet in 1877. It originally brewed beer only, from 1882 soda as well. In 1918 the brewery relocated, changed its name to Nora Fabrikker and made soda its main product. It was owned by the beer breweries Frydenlund, Schou and Ringnes. In 1978 Nora Fabrikker was the largest soda producer in Norway. Since 1953 the company was also involved in other foodstuffs. In 1978, Nora Fabrikker merged with Frydenlund Schous Bryggeri (a meantime merger) and Ringnes to form Nora Industrier.
