Andel Exit
''Andel Exit'' (also called as Angel Exit) is a 2000 Czech drama movie directed by Vladimír Michálek with Jan Cechticky and Klára Issová. The movie was based on the 1995 novel of Jáchym Topol named Anděl. The movie earned two Czech Lion Awards in 2000 for Best Design and Best Editing. The movie vividly depicts the former atmosphere and architecture around Anděl in the 1990s, before the progressive renovation of the neighbourhood. The efforts came to fruition in the early 2000s with the construction of Zlatý Anděl, a multi-purpose office and business development, followed by a shopping centre and many more new businesses. Synopsis The film is about Mike, an addict and a thief, who decides to get away from drugs after falling for his new neighbour Jane. However, his girlfriend Kaja keeps an influence on him and convinces him to cook one last batch. Vladimír Michálek
Vladimír Michálek (born 2 November 1956 in Mladá Boleslav) is a Czech film director and screenwriter. Life Michálek graduated from Czech film Academy ''FAMU'', Prague, in 1992. Starting during his academic study he was filming documentaries. He joined the Barrandov Studios as assistant director, where he worked with Andrew Birkin ( Burning Secret), Reinhard Hauff, Ted Kotcheff ( The Shooter), Margarethe von Trotta and Bernhard Wicki. He has four children. Work 1994 was the year of the release of his first feature film, ''Amerika'', a free adaptation of the Kafka novel. In 1996 ''Forgotten Light'' followed, a film adaption of the Jakub Deml novel. The film ran on the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, as did this next movie, ''Sekal Has to Die'', two years later. The latter won ten Czech Lion awards, including Best Direction, and succeeded ''Forgotten Light'' as the Czech Oscar-nominee.

Jáchym Topol
Jáchym Topol (born 4 August 1962) is a Czech Republic, Czech poet, novelist, musician and journalist who became a laureate of the Czech State Award for Literature in October 2017 for his novel ''A Sensitive Person'' and his life work to date. Life Jáchym Topol was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, to Josef Topol, Czechs, Czech playwright, poet, and translator of Shakespeare, and Jiřina Topolová, daughter of the famous Czech Catholic writer Karel Schulz. Topol's writing began with lyrics for the rock band Psí vojáci, led by his younger brother, Filip Topol, Filip, in the late '70s and early '80s. In 1982, he cofounded the samizdat magazine ''Violit'', and in 1985 ''Revolver Revue'', a samizdat review that specialized in modern Czech writing. Klára Issová (born 26 April 1979), sometimes known as Klára Issa, is a Czech-Syrian film, stage and television actress. In 1997, she won the Czech Lion Award for Best Supporting Actress in ''Nejasná zpráva o konci světa''. She is the cousin of actress Martha Issová. Early life Born in Prague in 1979, she is the daughter of a Czech mother and Syrian director Michel Issa. In 1985, at the age of six, she started taking drama lessons. Pavel Landovský
Pavel Landovský (11 September 1936 – 10 October 2014), nicknamed Lanďák, was a Czech actor, playwright, and director. He was a prominent dissident under the communist regime of former Czechoslovakia. Biography Landovský was born in Havlíčkův Brod in 1936, and after finishing his studies at the secondary technical school of mechanical engineering, he tried four times to enter the Faculty of Theatre in Prague, without success. He started his acting career as a supernumerary actor in the regional theatre in Teplice and continued to perform in regional theatres in Šumperk, Klatovy, and Pardubice. The first play that he wrote, ''Hodinový hoteliér'', premiered at the Činoherní klub theatre in Prague on 11 May 1969. In 1971, the communist regime banned him from film and television. Věra Galatíková
Věra Galatíková (19 August 1938 – 21 December 2007) was a Czech Republic, Czech actress. She acted in Pardubice following her studies at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts. Galatíková then joined The Drama Club (Prague), The Drama Club in Prague, where she performed between 1967 and 1972, later performing in other Prague venues including the National Theatre (Prague), National Theatre. At the 1994 Thalia Awards she won the category of Best Actress in a Play. Galatíková was recognised at the 2000 for her work in Dubbing (filmmaking), film voice dubbing. She died of cancer in 2007. Pavel Zajíček
Pavel Zajíček (15 April 1951 – 5 March 2024) was a Czech poet and musician, who was a prominent member of the Czech underground scene during the 1970s, associated with the bands DG 307 and the Plastic People of the Universe. Biography In 1973, Zajíček founded the experimental band DG 307 (named after the code for the psychiatric diagnosis that would exempt young men from compulsory military service) together with bassist Milan Hlavsa. The band was persecuted by the communist regime, turning Zajíček (known as "Pavel Z.") into a prominent figure in the Prague underground during the 1970s. In 1980, he emigrated from Czechoslovakia and lived in Sweden, and later in the United States. After the Velvet Revolution he returned to Czechoslovakia, playing with the reformed DG 307.
