Anatole Auguste Boieldieu
Anatole Auguste Boieldieu (1824 – 29 May 1886 in Chevilly-Larue) was a French entomologist who specialised in Coleoptera. He was a member of the Société entomologique de France. His collection is conserved by the Association des Etudiants Paris Boieldieu wrote many short and some longer scientific papers in which he described new taxa. Chevilly-Larue
Chevilly-Larue () is a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located from the center of Paris. Name Chevilly-Larue was originally called simply Chevilly. The name Chevilly was recorded for the first time in 829 (in a donation by Eucade, bishop of Paris) as ''Civiliacum'', probably meaning "estate of Civilis", a Gallo-Roman landowner. On 5 September 1921 the name of the commune officially became Chevilly-Larue in order to distinguish it from the homonymous commune of Chevilly in the Loiret ''département''. Larue was a hamlet located within the commune. Founded at the end of the Hundred Years' War along the small road from L'Haÿ-les-Roses to Fresnes, it was originally called ''La Ruelle'' (meaning "the lane", the "alleyway"), later corrupted into ''La Rue'' and eventually Larue. Beetles are insects that form the order Coleoptera (), in the superorder Endopterygota. Their front pair of wings are hardened into wing-cases, elytra, distinguishing them from most other insects. Société Entomologique De France
The Société entomologique de France, or French Entomological Society, is devoted to the study of insects. The society was founded in 1832 in Paris, France. The society was created by eighteen Parisian entomologists on January 31, 1832. The first (honorary) president was Pierre André Latreille (1762-1833) who was elected unanimously and established the goal of the society to contribute to and progress the development of entomology in all its aspects. The main publications of the society are ''Bulletin de la Société entomologique de France'', ''Annales de la Société entomologique de France'' and, for a few years, ''L'Entomologiste, Revue d'Amateurs''. In biology, a taxon ( back-formation from '' taxonomy''; plural taxa) is a group of one or more populations of an organism or organisms seen by taxonomists to form a unit.
