Anastas Jovanović
Anastas Jovanović ( sr-cyrl, Анастас Јовановић, 1817 – 1 November 1899) was a Serbian photographer and author of Bulgarian origin. Biography Jovanović, was of Bulgarian origin and during his life he always felt himself a Bulgarian and at the same time a Serb. He was born in Vratsa, an important administrative and garrison city under Ottoman rule in 1817. When Anastas was 9 years old, his father sent him to continue his education in Belgrade, where his uncle worked at the Prince Obrenović sewing studio. In 1830, after the death of Anastas' father, his family moved to Belgrade. But only after one year his uncle who was their support died too. Anastas Ivanovich Mikoyan (; , ; ; – 21 October 1978) was a Soviet statesman, diplomat, and Bolshevik revolutionary who served as the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet, the head of state of the Soviet Union. As a member of the Communist Party's Central Committee from 1923 to 1976, he was the only Soviet politician who remained in power from Lenin, through the eras of Stalin and Khrushchev, to his retirement under Brezhnev. Anastas Kullurioti or Anastasios Koulouriotis (; 1822–1887) was an Arvanites, Arvanite Albanians, Albanian writer and nationalist figure in Greece. Archbishop Anastasios, (Secular name: Anastasios Yannoulatos; ; ; 4 November 1929 – 25 January 2025), was the Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania and as such the primate and Head of the Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania. He teaches literature and writing at Bennington College and is on the faculty of the Bennington Writing Seminars MFA program. Anastas Hanania
Anastas Hanania (1903 – 1995) was a Palestinian-Jordanian lawyer, judge, official and diplomat. Hanania was educated at the Syrian Protestant College in Beirut (now the AUB) and the Law College in Jerusalem. He entered the world of Palestinian politics in the late 1930s and 1940s. Career After the 1948 Deir Yassin massacre, Hanania and his family left Palestine for Amman.
