Ananganadi
Ananganadi is a village in Palakkad district in the state of Kerala, India. Ananganadi is located equidistant from the towns of Ottapalam to the south and Cherpulassery to its north, both about 10 km from Ananganadi. The village of Vaniyamkulam lies 5 km roughly to the southwest. It is nestled under the Anangan hills, hence the name Ananganadi. The Anangan hills, popularly known as Ananganmala, are 2500 acres of rocky formation interspersed with lush green forests, with a variety of local wildlife. It stretches north–south for approximately 20 km and at its highest point stands at about 1200 metres. The Anangan hills has an ecotourism centre run by the Kerala Forest Department. The Cherambetta Bhagavathy temple and the Pattarkonam Shiva temple are two very old temples in Ananganadi village. Vaniyamkulam
Vaniyamkulam is an old town and an important trading hub of Southern Malabar in Kerala state, India, particularly of livestock arriving from the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu. The name derived from 'Vaniyan', connected with a trading community. It is part of the Palakkad District. History During Chera Perumals, this place was under Chera Kingdom, under Nedunganad. Cherpulassery (also known by its former name Cherpulacherry) is a town and municipality in the Palakkad district, of Kerala, India. Cherpulassery is often called the Sabarimala of Malabar as the famous Ayyappankavu temple is located here . The Puthanalakkal Bhagavathi temple and the Kalavela and Pooram associated with it is one of the largest festivals in the region.
