Anane Kobo
Anane Kobo is a former Ghanaian professional footballer who played as forward. He played for Real Tamale United and Asante Kotoko during his career. Kobo won the Ghana Premier League top goalscorer award twice. He won on two consecutive years in 1983 and 1984. Career Kobo started his career with Real Tamale United, a club based in the Northern Ghana, known for producing football talents like Muhammed Choo, Abedi Pele and Mohammed Gargo. Real Tamale United, often abbreviated as RTU, is a football club based in Tamale, Northern Region of Ghana. The team previously competed in the Ghana Division One League, after being relegated to the second tier in the 2013–14 Ghana Football Leagues Division One League. In 2021, RTU sealed promotion back to the Ghana Premier League after beating Unity FC 2 - 0 on the last day of the Division One League Season. Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, simply known as Asante Kotoko, is a professional football club founded on 31 August 1935 and based in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Mohammed Gargo (born 19 June 1975) is a Ghanaian former professional footballer who played as a defender. Playing career Club Torino Gargo's performances at the 1991 FIFA U-17 World Championship brought him to the notice of European clubs' scouts. He had initially agreed to join Bayer 04 Leverkusen alongside fellow Ghana national under-17 football team member Sebastian Barnes. However Leverkusen withdrew from the Gargo transfer when it became evident that they could not compete financially with a much larger offer from Torino.
