Anahit
Anahit ( hy, Անահիտ, fa, آناهید) was the goddess of fertility and healing, wisdom and water in Armenian mythology. In early periods she was the goddess of war. By the 5th century BCE she was the main deity in Armenia along with Aramazd. The Armenian goddess Anahit is related to the similar Iranian goddess Anahita. Anahit's worship, most likely borrowed from the Iranians during the Median invasion or the early Achaemenid period, was of paramount significance in Armenia. Eastern Armenian ( ''arevelahayeren'') is one of the two standardized forms of Modern Armenian, the other being Western Armenian. The two standards form a pluricentric language. Eastern Armenian is spoken in Armenia, Artsakh, Russia, as well as Georgia, and by the Armenian community in Iran. Although the Eastern Armenian spoken by Armenians in Armenia and Iranian-Armenians are similar, there are pronunciation differences with different inflections. Armenians from Iran also have some words that are unique to them. Anahit Yulanda Varan ( hy, Անահիտ Յուլանդա Վարան, 191729 August 2003), also known as Anahit Kuyrig, best known as "Madam Anahit", was a Turkish street performing musician who played the accordion. She appeared in a number of films in bit parts as an extra. Early years Anahit Yulanda Varan was born into a wealthy Armenian family in Tarlabaşı neighborhood of Beyoğlu district, close to Taksim Square, in Istanbul, then Ottoman Empire in 1917. Anahit Tsitsikian
Anahit Tsitsikian ( hy, Անահիտ Ցիցիկյան; born Leningrad, August 26, 1926; death Yerevan, May 2, 1999) was an Armenians, Armenian female violinist. She toured around the world through more than 100 cities during the Armenian SSR, Soviet times; she taught at the Yerevan State Musical Conservatory, State Conservatory for approximately 40 years and wrote more than 300 articles and scenarios for television and radio programs. Anahit Sahinyan ( hy, Անահիտ Սահինյան) (June 20, 1917, Vardablur, Lori region, Armenia – January 7, 2010, Yerevan, Armenia) was an Armenian writer, journalist, editor, and translator. Biography Anahit Sahinyan was born in Vardablur, Lori on June 20 ,1917. Later in her lifetime regarding her education, she would attend and graduate from the Yerevan State Construction/Engineering Technical School and the Yerevan State University from the Philology division in 1941. Anahit Perikhanian
Anahit Georgievna Perikhanian (24 April 1928 – 27 May 2012) was a Soviet-born Armenian academic. An Iranologist, Perikhanian specialized in Sasanian jurisprudence, history and society. In addition to her work on many aspects of ancient and medieval Iran, Perikhanian was also interested in ancient inscriptions of Asia Minor and the Middle East, as well as Middle Iranian languages and Armenian language. She also spent much time researching Armenian philology and etymology, especially in relation to Iranian loanwords in the Armenian language, and contributed to the understanding of Aramaic inscriptions found in Armenia. Anahide Ter Minassian born Anahide Kévonian (August 26, 1929 – February 11, 2019) was a French historian of Armenian origin who specialised in modern Armenian history, particularly the pre- and post-Soviet period of Armenian history, and the Armenian revolutionary movement.
