An Infinite Number
''Un infinito numero'' ("An infinite number") is a novel written by Sebastiano Vassali which has been published in 1999, 2001 and 2015 by the publishing house Einaudi. The title is related to the fact that history is a continuous repetition of events and human beings. Plot The novel is based on the monologue of Timodemo, who was born in Nauplia (Greece). When he was a child, he was abandoned by his mother and given to a slave trader called Musodoro. He was educated by Quinzione and he was taken to Naples where he was bought by Virgil as his secretary. Sebastiano Vassalli
Sebastiano Vassalli (24 October 1941 – 26 July 2015) was an Italian author. He wrote the 2007 novel ''The Italian (L'italiano)''. Vassalli was born in Genoa, Italy in 1941. His mother are from Tuscany and father were from Lombardy. At a very young age, he was abandoned to relatives in Novara for some flour and oil. He went on to complete his Bachelor of arts degree in Milan. Soon after, Vassalli partnered with Cesare Musatti and wrote a book on ''Psychoanalysis and Contemporary Art'' which ultimately began his career as a notable author. Vassalli devoted himself to teaching and researching artistic Neoavanguardia and was also involved with the Gruppo 63. He was a very dedicated man especially when it came to writing. Nortia
Nortia is the Latinized name of the Etruscan goddess Nurtia (variant manuscript readings include ''Norcia'', ''Norsia'', ''Nercia'', and ''Nyrtia''), whose sphere of influence was time, fate, destiny, and chance. Evidence Little or no Etruscan evidence for Nortia survives. Her name is not among those of the deities on the Liver of Piacenza. She appears a few times in Latin literature and inscriptions. Aeneas
In Greco-Roman mythology, Aeneas (, ; from ) was a Trojan hero, the son of the Trojan prince Anchises and the Greek goddess Aphrodite (equivalent to the Roman Venus (mythology), Venus). In Etruscan mythology, Voltumna or Veltha was the chthonic (relating to or inhabiting the underworld) deity, who became the supreme god of the Etruscan pantheon, the ''deus Etruriae princeps'', according to Varro.
