Amzad Ali
Amzad Ali (born 27 September 1991) is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who plays for Assam. He was born in Guwahati. Ali started his cricketing career with Assam's Under-16 team in 2001, at the age of just 10 years old, the youngest Assam player in that season's Vijay Merchant Trophy competition. At the end of the competition, he played for the Under-14s team, alongside future Assam senior team cricketers Amit Sinha and Sibsankar Roy. At the beginning of the 2002–03 season, Ali played for the Under-15s team, in which he remained for two seasons. Ali later played for the Under-17s in the Vijay Merchant Trophy and the Under-19s in the Cooch Behar and Vinoo Mankad Trophies. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Assam Cricket Team
The Assam cricket team is a domestic cricket team represents the Indian state of Assam, run by the Assam Cricket Association. They compete and represent the state annually in the first-class Ranji Trophy tournament, limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament and the Twenty20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. History Assam played their first first-class match in the 1948–49 Ranji Trophy, captained by Rupert Kettle, who also scored their first century two seasons later. Vijay Merchant Trophy
Vijay Merchant Trophy is an annual junior under 16 domestic cricket tournament of India. Board of Control for Cricket in India, the national governing body of sport of cricket in India, organise it. It is named after former legendry international cricketer Vijay Merchant, who played for Indian national cricket team for brief period of time. In 2021 it was not organised, because the players were not vaccinated against COVID 19. In 2019, Vijay Merchant Trophy was aired on Disney+ Hotstar app. The junior teams of state association and regions plays in this tournament. Amit Sinha (born 26 November 1988) is an Indian cricketer who plays domestic cricket for Assam. He is a right-handed middle order batsman. Sinha made his List A debut for Assam on 19 February 2007 against Tripura at Cuttack in the 2006–07 Ranji One-Day Trophy. Sibsankar Roy
Sibsankar Arabinda Roy (born 10 October 1990) is an Indian cricketer. He is a left-handed batter and a right-arm off-break bowler who plays for Assam in domestic cricket. Career Roy was born in Guwahati. He began his cricketing career in the youth ranks of Assam, in the 2001-02 National Under-14s tournament, aged just eleven. He moved up to the Under-15s team the following year, for whom he played for two consecutive seasons. Roy started 2004-05 with the Under-19s team before moving to the Under-17s, moving back to the Under-19s in 2005-06. Roy maintained his position in the Under-19s in 2006-07, and played a couple of games for the Under-22s in 2007-08, before making his step up to the first team. Tripura Cricket Team
The Tripura cricket team is a domestic cricket team representing the Indian state of Tripura. History Cricket developed later in Tripura than in most other parts of India with competitions first organized in the early 1960s, and the Tripura Cricket Association forming in 1968. Tripura entered the Ranji Trophy, along with Goa and Himachal Pradesh, when the competition was expanded for the 1985–86 season. They have always been one of the weaker sides in the competition. Up to the end of 2020, they had played 183 first-class matches resulting in nine wins, 116 losses and 58 draws.
