Amy Lin (figure Skater)
Amy Lin (born November 3, 1999) is a Taiwanese-American figure skater. She is the 2016 Toruń Cup bronze medalist, the 2016 Asian Open bronze medalist, and a four-time Taiwanese national champion (2016–2019). She has competed in the final segment at eight ISU Championships. Personal life Lin was born on November 3, 1999, in Fremont, California. She has one older brother, James, who is a student at UC Berkeley. She trained in gymnastics, ballet, and Chinese dance while also skating before moving to Riverside, California. Career Early years Lin began skating at age four-and-a-half when her mother brought her children to a local ice rink. 2016 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2016 ISU World Figure Skating Championships took place March 28 – April 3, 2016 in Boston, Massachusetts. Figure skaters competed for the title of World champion in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs and ice dancing. This marked the first time Boston was host to the World Figure Skating Championships. The competition determined the number of athlete slots for each federation at the 2017 World Championships. ISU Figure Skating Championships
The International Skating Union organizes six annual Championships for figure skating. It is at the discretion of each member country which skaters, pairs or synchronized skating teams are sent to which championship. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (titled the ISU Junior Series in the 1997–98 season) is a series of international junior-level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. Asian Figure Skating Trophy
The Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy (or ''Asian Trophy''; previously known as the Asian Figure Skating Championships) is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the Asian Skating Union. Skaters compete in the disciplines of men's and ladies' singles across three levels: senior, junior, and novice. Following an ASU meeting in Changchun, China during the 6th Asian Winter Games 2007, the ASU revised the name of the competition from the Asian Figure Skating Championships to the Asian Figure Skating Trophy, with the International Skating Union approving the change. "Chinese Taipei" is the term used in various international organizations and tournaments for groups or delegations representing the Republic of China (ROC), a country commonly known as Taiwan. Dance in China is a highly varied art form, consisting of many modern and traditional dance genres.
