Amta railway station is the terminal railway station on Santragachi–Amta branch line of South Eastern Railway section of the Kharagpur railway division. The South Eastern Railway (abbreviated SER) is one of the 19 Indian Railways, railway zones in India. It is headquartered at Garden Reach, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It comprises Adra railway division, Chakradharpur railway division, Kharagpur railway division and Ranchi railway division. ''Anandabazar Patrika'' is an Indian Bengali-language daily newspaper owned by the ABP Group.
