Amsterdamned II
''Amsterdamned II'' is an upcoming Dutch crime thriller slasher film directed and written by Dick Maas. It is a sequel to the 1988 film ''Amsterdamned''. The film stars Huub Stapel reprising his role as Detective Eric Visser. ''Amsterdamned II'' is scheduled to be released in the Netherlands on 11 December 2025 by Splendid Film. Cast Production Development In a 2013 interview, Dick Maas said that in the 90s he had considered making a sequel to ''Amsterdamned'' titled ''Rotterdoom'', set in Rotterdam. However, the project never materialized. In late 2023, it was announced that ''Amsterdamned'' would get a sequel with Huub Stapel reprising his role as Eric Visser. Tatum Dagelet reprises her role as Eric's daughter, Anneke Visser. With Dunya Khayame, Tarik Moree, Ruben Brinkman, Mattijn Hartemink, and Pierre Bokma being cast in undisclosed roles. Dick Maas
Dirk Herman Willem Maas (Dick) (born 15 April 1951) is a Dutch film director, screenwriter, film producer and film composer. Career Maas achieved fame after the success of his music videos for the Dutch band Golden Earring, including "Twilight Zone (Golden Earring song), Twilight Zone" and the controversial "When the Lady Smiles," and his films , ''Amsterdamned'' and ''Flodder'' in the 1980s. Maas also directed the controversial Saint Nicolas slasher ''Sint'' (Saint Nick) and one episode of the TV series ''Young Indiana Jones''. The film ''Character (1997 film), Karakter'' won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1998. Maas served as executive producer.
