Amrita
''Amrita'' (, IAST: ''amṛta''), ''Amrit'' or ''Amata'' in Pali language, Pali, (also called ''Sudha'', ''Amiy'', ''Ami'') is a Sanskrit word that means "immortality". It is a central concept within Indian religions and is often referred to in ancient Indian texts as an Elixir of life, elixir. Its first occurrence is in the Rigveda, where it is considered one of several synonyms for ''soma (drink), soma'', the drink of the Deva (Hinduism), devas. Amrita plays a significant role in the Samudra manthan, Samudra Manthana, and is the cause of the conflict between devas and asuras competing for amrita to obtain immortality. Amrita has varying significance in different Indian religions. The word ''Amrit'' is also a common first name for Sikhs and Hindus, while its feminine form is ''Amritā''. ''Amrutham'' () is a 2004 Indian Malayalam family drama directed by Sibi Malayil, starring Jayaram, Arun, Padmapriya, and Bhavana in the lead roles. The film also stars Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy Sreekumar, and KPAC Lalitha. Plot The story of "Amrutham" is about two brothers, Gopi and Dinesh. Gopi is a farmer who works hard to give his brother a good education after their father deserts them when Dinesh is just a child. Dinesh, now a final-year degree student, is involved with the daughter of the local teashop owner, played by Bhavana. He is also involved in college politics. On the other hand, Gopi is in a relationship with a Muslim girl, Sainaba. All hell breaks loose when Gopi marries Sainaba and brings her home. ''Amrutham Chandamamalo'' () is a 2014 Indian Telugu-language science fiction comedy film written and directed by Gunnam Gangaraju. The film stars Srinivas Avasarala, Harish Koyalagundla, Vasu Inturi, Sivannarayana Naripeddi, Dhanya Balakrishna and Suchitra. It is based on the '' Amrutham'' sitcom with Sivannarayana and Vasu Inturi reprising their roles. Gangaraju, who produced the sitcom, also produced the film. ''Amrutham Dhvitheeyam'' () is an Indian Telugu-language sitcom web television series created by Gunnam Gangaraju and directed by Gunnam Sandeep. It is a standalone sequel to the television sitcom ''Amrutham'' (2001–2007). It was released with the tagline "Moorkhatvaniki maranam raadu" (). The series featured Harsha Vardhan, L. B.
