Amrit Campus
Amrit Campus is the first science campus of Nepal, located in Lainchaur, Kathmandu. It was formerly known as Public Science College (PUSCOL). It was later renamed in the memory of Amrit Prasad Pradhan. Pradhan was born in 1918 at Thamel, Kathmandu, Nepal. He worked as the headmaster of Juddhodaya Public High School in Birgunj for two years and later joined Tri-Chandra College as a lecturer in chemistry. In 1962, he became the founding principal of Public Science College and began teaching as a professor of chemistry. Pradhan helped to establish Amrit Campus with a goal of promoting the study of science and technology in Nepal. The campus benefited greatly from his enterprise, dedication and enthusiasm. While on a mission to the United States for academic reasons, he died in an air crash over Mont Blanc on January 24, 1966. Baburam Bhattarai
Baburam Bhattarai (, ; born 18 June 1954), also known by his nom de guerre Laaldhwoj, is a Nepalese politician, architect and former Prime Minister of Nepal, Prime Minister who presently serves as leader of the Nepal Socialist Party. Pradip Paudel () is a Nepali politician serving as the Minister of Health and Population in the cabinet led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. He has been a Nepali Congress (NC) Member of Parliament (MP) from Kathmandu 5 since 2022. Kuber Singh Rana () was the Inspector General of the Nepal Police. He was promoted to the Inspector General of Police by the government of Nepal after succeeding Rabindra Pratap Shah as the police chief on September 13, 2012. Sushil Prasad Koirala (; 12 August 1931 – 9 February 2016) was a Nepalese politician and the Prime Minister of Nepal from 11 February 2014 to 10 October 2015. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), founded on 16 August 1985, is the parent generator, transmittor and retail distributor of electric power under the supervision of the government of Nepal.
