''Amrit'' is a 1986 Indian Hindi drama film starring Rajesh Khanna in the title role playing the character of Amritlal Sharma. The film was directed by Mohan Kumar immediately after directing Avtaar with Khanna in the title role and lyrics written by Anand Bakshi. Mahendra Kapoor
Mahendra Kapoor (9 January 1934 – 27 September 2008) was an Indian playback singer. In a long career spanning decades, his repertoire included popular songs such as ''Chalo ekbaar phir se Ajnabi ban jayen hum dono'' ( Gumrah) and ''Neele Gagan ke tale'' ( Hamraaz). His name however became most closely associated with patriotic songs including Mere Desh Ki Dharti in Manoj Kumar's film Upkaar. He considered Mohammad Rafi as his Guru. In 1972, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. Jaspal Singh is an Indian singer who lent his voice to various Bollywood actors of 1970's and 1980's. He was born on 23rd March, 1943 in Amritsar, Punjab. Manhar Udhas is a Hindi and Gujarati language singer and Bollywood playback singer. Laxmikant–Pyarelal were an Indian composer duo, consisting of Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar (1937–1998) and Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma (born 1940).
