Amman FC () is a Jordanian football club based in Amman, Jordan. It currently competes in the Jordanian First Division League, the second tier of Football in Jordan, Jordanian football. History The current iteration of Amman FC was launched in 2021, after the Jordanian Ministry of Sport and Youth (Jordan), Ministry of Sport and Youth agreed on its merger with Dar Al-Dawa Club, Dar Al-Dawa, whilst keeping the name of the former. That merger allowed Amman FC to participate in the Jordan League Division 1 for the first time as a club. Amman FC took this step as a part of its greater sports strategy to enhance the role of all age group teams and give young players the opportunity to play within the ranks of the first team. The merger also takes into consideration within its strategy the interest of the national teams to represent them in foreign forums. The 2022 Jordanian First Division League started on 7 August 2022 and concluded on 8 November 2022. The league featured 10 teams from the 2021 campaign, two new teams relegated from the 2021 Pro League: Al-Jalil and Al-Baqa'a, and two new teams promoted from the 2021 Jordanian Second Division League: Alia and Al-Hashimiya. Al-Ahli SC won the league title and promoted to 2023–24 Jordanian Pro League along with Al-Jalil. Al-Karmel and Balama were relegated to the 2023 Jordanian Second Division League. Odeh Burhan Shehade Fakhoury (; born 22 November 2005), also spelled as Odeh Al-Fakhouri () is a Jordanian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Jordanian Pro League side Al-Hussein. Al-Hussein Sport Club () is a professional football club based in Irbid which competes in the Jordanian Pro League. The club achieved two Jordanian Pro League titles in 2023–24 and 2024–25, in addition to achieving three Jordan FA Shield titles, and two Jordan Super Cup titles. History Al-Hussein Irbid was established in 1964, followed by promotion to the Jordan League in 1975. Their first participation in regional competitions was in the 1993 Arab Club Champions Cup.
