Amma Ponnu
''Amma Ponnu'' () is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Arun. The film stars Vignesh and newcomer Akhila, with Nagesh, K. R. Vijaya, Goundamani, Senthil, Ponvannan and Nandagopal playing supporting roles. It was released on 9 April 1993. Plot The film starts with a young man Anand making a mess in a women's college. The police then arrest him. At the police station, Anand explains the reason behind the chaos he caused in the college. Vignesh (actor)
Raja (born 9 April 1971), known professionally as Vignesh, is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. Career Vignesh got selected to play the lead role in Balu Mahendra's '' Vanna Vanna Pookkal'' (1992) but he was removed from the film after working on it for seven days and was replaced by Prashanth. He made his acting debut in 1992 with the village drama film '' Chinna Thayee''. In 1993, he acted in '' Amma Ponnu'', Bharathiraja's ''Kizhakku Cheemayile'' and Kathir's '' Uzhavan''. In 1995, Vignesh appeared in six films. He starred in ''Chellakannu'', which told the tragic story of a young couple caught between feuding families, and the film performed well and ran for over one hundred days at the box office. Theni Kunjarammal
Theni Kunjarammal (died 18 April 2008) was an Indian actress and playback singer who has worked in the Tamil film industry. As a playback singer, she has worked extensively with A. R. Rahman during the late 1990s and early 2000s for folk songs, while also regularly collaborating with Harris Jayaraj. Career As an actress, Kunjarammal is best known for her roles as an old woman in a rural village, and made a breakthrough with her performance in ''Karuththamma'' (1994) as a woman who feeds insecticide to baby girls. She later reprised the role in Vivek's comedy track in ''Kadhal Sadugudu'' (2003). Theni Kunjarammal has also worked a singer in films and has regularly collaborated with A. R. Rahman on folk songs. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as ''Ponniyin Selvan'' and ''Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932. It is published in Mumbai by the Indian Express Limited, Indian Express Group. Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and composer. He is a recipient of several awards such as the Nandi Awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. Mano has recorded more than 1,000 songs for film and private various Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya and Hindi films. Pulavar Pulamaipithan (6 October 1935 – 8 September 2021) was an Indian scholar, poet and lyricist who got recognition through the song "Naan yaar nee yaar" which was featured in the Tamil film ''Kudiyirundha Koyil'' in 1968. He briefly served as the presidium chairman of AIADMK from 2002 to 2003, when he resigned citing ill-health. Biography Pulamaipithan was born in Irugur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on 6 October 1935. Ganesha ( sa, गणेश, ), also known as Ganapati, Vinayaka, and Pillaiyar, is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon and is the Supreme God in Ganapatya sect.
