Amit Subhashrao Zanak
Ameet Subhashrao Zanak is a member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represents the constituency of Risod, India. He belonged to the Indian National Congress (INC). He was all set to embark on the engineering profession until his father's sudden death on 28 October 2014 that forced him to take a plunge into the world of politics at the age of 28. But he performed exceedingly well after winning the by-polls on a Congress ticket from Risod constituency in Washim district. The seat was left vacant after his father Subhash Zanak, former minister state minister for women and child development, died due to a cardiac arrest. Subhash Zanak was the MLA from Risod Constituency and Ex-Cabinet Minister of Women and Child Development in the Government of Maharashtra in India. He was leader from the Indian National Congress Party. Political career He was elected as member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Risod, in Washim district in October 2009.
