Aminul Islam Chowdhury
Aminul Islam Chowdhury (born 1921) was a Bangladeshi politician and businessman. He was a Member of Parliament of Pakistan (MNA) before East Pakistan became Bangladesh and represented a region in Comilla. Early life and career Chowdhury was the son of Serajul Islam Chowdhury, Zamindar of Alkora. He studied Economics at the University of Calcutta in India. He was involved in many industries such as aluminum, deep sea trawler fishing, seafood export etc. and won international awards for outstanding business performance. He was also the founder and chairman of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Chowdhury created various companies such as Bayview but the most successful were Amin Fish Farms and Industries Limited. Aminul Islam (artist)
Aminul Islam (7 November 1931 – 8 July 2011) was a Bangladeshi artist. He was a part of Bangladesh modern art movement in 1950s. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1981 and Independence Day Award in 1988 by the Government of Bangladesh. Education and career Islam studied in Mahuttuli Primary School in Dhaka. During his study at Armanitola High School, he started copying Japanese and Chinese art. He passed his matriculation in 1947. Then he went to Calcutta Art College for admission but he decided to get admitted as the first batch student to a newly established Dhaka Art School (now Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka), founded by Zainul Abedin in 1948. He graduated in 1953 and then, with an Italian government scholarship, he completed advanced studies in Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze in Florence during 1953–1956. Aminul Islam (academic)
Aminul Islam (1 January 1935 – 29 November 2017) was a Bangladeshi academic. He was the President of Bangladesh Academy of Sciences. He was a fellow of the academy since 1978. Early life and education Islam was born on 1 January 1935 in Nagerchar village of Homna Upazila of Comilla District. He completed his B.Sc. (Hons.) in chemistry in 1954 and M.Sc. in Soil Science in 1955 from the University of Dhaka and Ph.D. in Soil Science from Michigan State University in 1962. Career Islam started his teaching career at the University of Dhaka in 1956 and worked at the Department of Soil Science until 1996. He then served as the Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh National University (1996-2000) and Daffodil International University during 2002–2011. Aminul Islam (born 29 December 1963) is a poet and essayist from Bangladesh. He has written 28 books including 23 books of poetry. He has been involved in creative writing for some 25 years. Early life and education Aminul Islam was born on December 29, 1963, in the Chapai Nawabganj District, Bangladesh. He obtained his Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) from Rajshahi College. He took his bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Rajshahi and his Master of Arts from the same intuition. He obtained a Master of Social Science Degree from the Northern University of Bangladesh. He joined the Bangladesh Civil Service in 1988. Aminul Islam (1973 – 4 April 2012) was a Bangladeshi trade unionist who was murdered in 2012 and gained international attention. Biographical details Islam was married and had two sons and one daughter. Work Islam, a former garment worker, was president of the Ashulia and Savar chapters of the Bangladesh Garment and Industrial Workers Federation and a leader of the Bangladesh Center for Workers' Solidarity, which has advocated for improved working conditions and higher wages. In 2010, the organization led protests to push for a larger increase in the minimum wage for garment workers in the Bangladesh textile industry. Mohammad Aminul Islam ( bn, মোহাম্মদ আমিনুল ইসলাম; born 2 February 1968) is a former Bangladeshi cricketer and captain. Aminul scored the first hundred for the Bangladesh cricket team when Bangladesh played their first Test against India thus becoming only the third cricketer after Charles Bannerman and Dave Houghton to score centuries on their own and their country's test debut.
