Ameen Al-Dakhil ( ar, أمين الدخيل; born 6 March 2002) is a professional Association football, footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Burnley F.C., Burnley. Born in Iraq, he plays for the Belgium national football team, Belgium national team. Early life Al-Dakhil was born in Iraq, and moved to Belgium with his family at the age of 5, as a refugee during the Iraq War. He began playing football with the youth academies of Kortenaken, Hoegaarden-Outgaarden, K.V.K. Tienen-Hageland, Tienen, RSC Anderlecht, Anderlecht and Standard Liège. Originally a Striker (association football), striker, Al-Dakhil was then converted to a centre-back. The 2020 AFC U-19 Championship would have been the 41st edition of the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-19 national teams of Asia. It was scheduled to take place in Uzbekistan, who had been appointed as the host by the AFC on 17 September 2019. It was originally scheduled to run between 14 and 31 October 2020, but was postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
