Panoptica
Roberto Alonso Mendoza Lopez, known as Panoptica, has been one of the figures in the Mexican electronic music scene since the late 1980s, founding bands like electro pos-industrial outfit Artefakto and in the late 1990s being part of the Tijuana-based norteña-meets-techno Nortec Collective. He has also been releasing tracks as Panóptica and it was under this name that English DJ John Peel took notice, inviting him to do one of his Peel sessions for the BBC in 2001. In 2005 Roberto had embarked on finishing two projects, one called "Desierto" and the other "Mendoza", where friends like David J. Laserdance
Laserdance is a Dutch Italo disco studio project consisting of producer Erik van Vliet and composer Michiel van der Kuy. The studio project has been categorized as part of subgenre known as spacesynth and has been generally considered as a major influence for the subgenre and has remained popular around Europe in the mid-1980s. Many of Laserdance's tracks are known to feature basic analog synthesizers, drum machines and vocoders. The name of the studio project comes from the first single with the same name published in 1984. Numerous hit singles from Laserdance include "Goody's Return", "Humanoid Invasion", "Power Run", "Fear" and "Shotgun (Into The Night)". Van der Kuy and Van Vliet are known to be key members of the studio project, while other members such as Ruud van Es, Rob van Eijk and Julius Wijnmalen, the composer of the studio album ''Strikes Back'' from 2000, have been involved as well. ''Vibras'' (English: ''Vibes'') is the third studio album by Colombian reggaeton singer J Balvin released on 25 May 2018 through Universal Latin. The album was promoted with five singles, including the international hit, " Mi Gente", which was released as the lead single of the album. Development In June 2017, Balvin together with French producer and DJ Willy William released the single, " Mi Gente". The song became a major commercial success reaching number one in over thirty countries worldwide, including number three on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart; it stayed on the chart for 35 consecutive weeks.
