CIF Southern Section
The California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section (CIF-SS) is the governing body for high school athletics in most of Southern California and is the largest of the ten sections that comprise the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Its membership includes most public and private high schools in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and central and southern Santa Barbara counties. At the start of the 2018/9 season, 13 schools from San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County left the Southern Section to join the much smaller CIF Central Section. Teams from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and surrounding areas have competed in the CIF Los Angeles City Section since 1935. CIFSS's offices are located in Los Alamitos. History Linfield Christian School, founded and established in 1936, was originally located in Los Angeles and was named the Culter Academy after its founder, Dr. Mabel Culter. Woodcrest Christian High School is a private Christian high school located in Riverside, California, United States, in the census-designated place of Woodcrest. Western Christian High School (Upland, California)
Western Christian High School, also known as Western Christian Schools, is a co-educational private Christian high school in Upland, California. The school was established in 1920. Western Christian also has a middle school, elementary school and preschool in Claremont, California. In 2020, the superintendent was John Attwood. In 1970, Western Christian High School moved to real estate formerly used by Azusa Pacific College, where the enrollment that year was of about 235 students. The school at the time had a choir of about 50 students, called the ''Good News Singers''. Bill May was the principal at the time. By 1992, the school's choir had 54 members.
