Man-Killer is a name used by two supervillains appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The second version Katrina Luisa Van Horn has been viewed by critics as a "caricature of feminists, who despised all men." Publication history The first version of Man-Killer first appeared in ''Captain America'' #111 (December 1968) and created by Stan Lee and Jim Steranko. Man-Killer first appeared in ''Marvel Team-Up'' volume 1 #8 (April 1973) and created by Gerry Conway and Jim Mooney. Amalgam Comics
Amalgam Comics was a collaborative publishing imprint shared by DC Comics and Marvel Comics, in which the two comic book publishers merged their characters into new ones (e.g., the DC Comics character Batman and the Marvel Comics character Wolverine became the Amalgam Comics character the Dark Claw). These characters first appeared in a series of 12 one-shots which were published in April 1996 between ''Marvel Comics versus DC'' #3 and ''DC versus Marvel Comics'' #4, the last two issues of the '' DC vs. Marvel'' crossover event. A second set of 12 one-shots followed one year later in June 1997, but without the crossover event as a background. Ophelia Sarkissian is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Jim Steranko, the character first appeared in ''Captain America'' #110 (February 1969). Ophelia Sarkissian is a foe of the X-Men and the Avengers. She has also been known as Viper and Madame Hydra at various points in her history.
