Amazing Fantasy
''Amazing Adult Fantasy'', retitled ''Amazing Fantasy'' in its final issue, is an American comic book anthology series published by Marvel Comics from 1961 through 1962, with the latter title revived with superhero features in 1995 and in the 2000s. The final 1960s issue, ''Amazing Fantasy'' #15 (cover-dated Aug. 1962), introduced the popular Marvel Comics, Marvel superhero Spider-Man. ''Amazing Adult Fantasy'' premiered with issue #7, taking over the numbering from ''Amazing Adventures''. ''Amazing Adventures'' is the name of several anthology comic book series, all but one published by Marvel Comics. The earliest Marvel series of that name introduced the company's first superhero of the late-1950s to early-1960s period fans and historians call the Silver Age of Comic Books. That same series also included the first comic book to be labeled "Marvel Comics". Daniel Fingeroth (; born September 17) is an American comic book writer and editor, best known for a long stint as group editor of the Spider-Man books at Marvel Comics. Early life Fingeroth was born in New York City, New York. Career As a writer and editor Fingeroth got his start in the comics business in 1976 as an assistant to Larry Lieber at Marvel Comics. At Marvel Comics in the 1980s, he edited the Spider-Man titles as well as ''Marvel Team-Up'' and ''Ka-Zar (Kevin Plunder), Ka-Zar''.
