Amauri
Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira (born 3 June 1980), known as Amauri, is an Italian former footballer who played as a striker. His previous clubs include Bellinzona, Parma, Napoli, Piacenza, Empoli, Messina, Chievo, Palermo, Juventus, Fiorentina and Fort Lauderdale Strikers. Although he was born in Brazil, he represented Italy once at international level in 2010, after acquiring Italian citizenship. Club career Early career Amauri was trained at Palmeiras, the club of his place of birth, São Paulo state, but failed to impress. At the age of 19, he went to Santa Catarina state to work and played for a local club Santa Catarina at Santa Catarina State League 2nd Division. The club was invited to 2000 Torneo di Viareggio in Italy, at which he showed his talent to scouts; he was signed by a club from the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland, Bellinzona. Amauri d'Acigné (died 1477) was a Roman Catholic prelate who served as Bishop of Nantes (1462–1477). Amauri Ribeiro (born January 23, 1959), known as Amauri, is a Brazilian former volleyball player who competed at the 1980, 1984, 1988, and the 1992 Summer Olympics. In 1980, Amauri was part of the Brazilian team that finished fifth at the Olympic tournament in Moscow. He played all six matches. In 1984, Amauri won the silver medal at the Olympic tournament in Los Angeles. He played five matches. In 1988, Amauri finished fourth at the Olympic tournament in Seoul. He played all seven matches. Amauri's final Olympic appearance was at the Olympic tournament in Barcelona, where he won the gold medal. He played two matches. Amauri Torezan (born November 17, 1972) is a Brazilian abstract artist currently living in South Florida in the United States. Amauri Sanit Sabouren (born July 4, 1979) is a Cuban former professional baseball pitcher. Sanit played for the Industriales of the Cuban National Series before defection, defecting from Cuba in 2006. He pitched in Major League Baseball for the New York Yankees in 2011, before joining the Tigres in 2012. Playing career Sanit grew up boxing, but switched to baseball at age 16. He became a closer (baseball), closer in the Cuban National Series for the Industriales. When Cuban officials became aware of Sanit's desire to play in the United States, they began to hold back his career to prevent him from being showcased, not allowing him to play on the Cuban national baseball team. Amauri Jeremiah Hardy (born April 30, 1998) is an American-Syrian professional basketball player for the Grand Rapids Gold of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the UNLV Runnin' Rebels and the Oregon Ducks. High school career Hardy began his high school career Southfield High School, where he averaged 12 points per game as a freshman. He averaged 19 points per game as a sophomore but was limited to four games because of an MCL injury. Following his sophomore season, Hardy transferred to North Farmington High School. He averaged 21 points, four rebounds, six assists and six steals per game as a junior, helping the team reach the Class A state championship game.
