Amason (band)
Amason is a Swedish musical band made up of vocalist Amanda Bergman (also known as Hajen, Jaw Lesson, and Idiot Wind); guitarist, keyboardist, and vocalist Gustav Ejstes (from Dungen); keyboardist Pontus Winnberg (from Miike Snow and Bloodshy & Avant); drummer Nils Törnqvist (from Little Majorette); and bassist Petter Winnberg (from Little Majorette). Amason was formed in December 2012 and released their self-titled EP in August 2013, via Stockholm-based label Ingrid. In January 2015, the band issued their debut album, ''Sky City'', with lyrics in both English and Swedish. In October of the same year, they released their second EP, ''Flygplatsen'', with songs in Swedish exclusively. In 2016, they published the EP ''California Airport Love'', which includes the English version of "Flygplatsen" as well as a cover of Foreigner's " I Want to Know What Love Is" and The Mamas & the Papas' "California Dreamin". Amanda Bergman
Amanda Bergman is a Swedish singer-songwriter from Dalarna. She has previously performed and released music under the stage names Idiot Wind (from Bob Dylan's song of the same name) and Hajen. Career Karin Amanda Bergman Hollingby began her professional career under the stage name Hajen (Swedish for "the shark") and used the name Idiot Wind from 2010 to 2014. Bergman is a member and lead-vocalist of the Swedish band Amason with Gustav Ejstes, Pontus Winnberg, Nils Törnqvist and Petter Winnberg. The band released its debut album ''Sky City'' in January 2015. She was previously married to Kristian Matsson, also known as The Tallest Man on Earth and they cooperated on the soundtrack of Swedish director Gorki Glaser-Müller's film ''En Gång Om Året'' (''Once A Year''). The Mamas & The Papas
The Mamas & the Papas were a folk rock vocal group formed in Los Angeles, California, which recorded and performed from 1965 to 1968. The group was a defining force in the music scene of the counterculture of the 1960s. The group consisted of Americans John Phillips, Cass Elliot, and Michelle Phillips and Canadian Denny Doherty. Their sound was based on vocal harmonies arranged by John Phillips, the songwriter, musician, and leader of the group, who adapted folk to the new beat style of the early 1960s. The Mamas & the Papas released five studio albums and 17 singles over four years, six of which made the '' Billboard'' top 10, and have sold close to 40 million records worldwide. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 for its contributions to the music industry. Recording The album was recorded at Spegeln and INGRID studios in Stockholm, Sweden by Amason, Nille Perned, Christoffer Zakrisson and Gustav Lindelöw. All songs were written by Amason except "Elefanten", which was written by Amason and Jenny Palén. "Yellow Moon" was written and produced by Amason and Patrik Berger. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Grammis
The Grammis are music awards presented annually to musicians and songwriters in Sweden. The oldest Swedish music awards, they were instituted as a local equivalent of the Grammy Awards given in the United States. The awards ceremony is generally held each year in February in Stockholm. The awards were established in 1969 and awarded until 1972 when they were cancelled, then revived in 1987. There are around 20 different award categories, which have changed over the years. Gustav Ejstes (born 23 December 1979) is a Swedish musician. He is the singer and frontman of the Swedish psychedelic rock band Dungen. Ejstes himselfs plays many of the instruments within his recordings, alongside bandmates Reine Fiske (guitar), Mattias "Tiaz" Gustavsson (bass) and Johan Holmegard (drums). Subliminal Sounds is the record label to which Ejstes returned after a short period with Virgin Records and the record "Stadsvandringar". He has released seven albums with Dungen, notably their album ''Ta Det Lugnt'' (2004), which has been highly acclaimed all over the world. Other works include, ''Tio Bitar'' (2007), '' 4 (2008) and ''Skit i allt'' (2010). Foreigner is a British-American rock band, originally formed in New York City in 1976 by veteran British guitarist and songwriter Mick Jones and fellow Briton and ex-King Crimson member Ian McDonald, along with American vocalist Lou Gramm. Bloodshy & Avant are a Swedish songwriting and production duo consisting of Christian "Bloodshy" Karlsson and Pontus "Avant" Winnberg.
