Amandawe
Amandawe () also known as Amandawe Mission, or often informally abbreviated as AMA is a small township located at KwaZulu-Natal South Coast region of South Africa, the area is mostly populated with Black Africans. History Amandawe was a sugarcane farm before developing to a township. An ethnobotanical survey was conducted in the area and showed that the use of medicinal plants has remained popular for historical and ancestral reasons thus the town is named for Ancestry.On 19 May 2018, about 1500 people blocked the P188 road with rocks, trees, and burning tires. Etymology Amandawe is a Zulu word relating to the ancestors,because of the community's belief to ancestors. ''Boaedon capensis'', the Cape house snake, also known as the brown house snake, is a species of lamprophiid from Botswana, South Africa (from KwaZulu-Natal all the way through to the Western Cape), Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe. They are a non-venomous lamprophiid. This species was previously grouped in the genus '' Lamprophis'' but is regrouped with the genus '' Boaedon''. Appearance Cape house snakes are usually dark brown on top, but the colour varies greatly from almost black through brown to olive green. The stripes that stretch from the rostral scale through the eye to the back of the head are very strong, thick, and bold. This species may have a lateral stripe running down the flanks, often resembling the links of a chain. They also sometimes have lateral stripes running along either side of the spine. The black mamba (''Dendroaspis polylepis'') is a species of highly venomous snake belonging to the family Elapidae. It is native to parts of sub-Saharan Africa. First formally described by Albert Günther in 1864, it is the second-longest venomous snake after the king cobra; mature specimens generally exceed and commonly grow to . Dududu
Dududu is a small rural area in the South Coast of the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. It is also referred to as Zembeni by locals. The area is primarily used for agriculture, i.e. the sugarcane plantations by the Illovo Sugar company. History Dududu became infamous in the late '90s during the South African political battles that occurred after the country's first Democratic Elections. The battles spanned all over the country and Dududu was one of those places that were massacred, due to the rivalry between the biggest parties at that time, Inkatha Freedom Party and African National Congress to govern the country. In 2015, Dududu was in the news again when over a hundred bodies were found in what was identified as mass graves at Glenroy Farm, one of two large farms in the area, the other being Cedars Farm.
