Amagerbrogade
Amagerbrogade is the main shopping street and thoroughfare of the part of Copenhagen, Denmark that is located on the island of Amager . It begins at the end of the causeway which connects Amager to Christianshavn and the city centre on the other side of the harbour, and runs south until it reaches the municipal border with Tårnby where it continues as Amager Landevej. The street marks the border between Amager Vest and Amager Øst, two of the ten official districts of Copenhagen. Amagerbrogade arose when the country road leading in and out of Copenhagen's Amager Gate was urbanized towards the end of the 18th century after the city's old fortifications had been decommissioned and the no-built zone outside them released. Amager Øst
Amager Øst (English: Amager East) is one of the 10 official districts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It encompasses the part of Copenhagen located on the island of Amager, east of the major shopping street Amagerbrogade.Prior to an administrative reform in 2006–08, the district was known as Sundbyøster. Amager Øst holds within its limits a heterogeneous mixture of areas, to the north Amagerbro, straddling the border with Amager Vest, is a dense "-bro district"-style residential neighbourhoods while other areas are dominated by allotments, Single-family houses or, sometimes abandoned, industrial sites. Amager Vest
Amager Vest (English:West Amager) is one of the ten administrative districts of Copenhagen Denmark. It located on in the north-western part of the island of Amager, the largest island in the Øresund. The district is bordered by Amager Øst to the east along Amagerbrogade, the main shopping street and thoroughfare of the part of Copenhagen. Amager Vest is the largest of the ten new official administrative districts of Copenhagen, but has at the same time the smallest population. Only the most northern part can be considered as "urban area". Amager Vest includes Islands Brygge, Ørestad, Sundbyvester and Eberts Villaby as well as the extensive meadow and wetlands of Kalvebod Fælled. Districts of Copenhagen are often based on informal designations based on historic origins, often with alternative names and loosely defined boundaries. Copenhagen Municipality is divided into 10 official administrative districts but they often comprise areas of a heterogeneous character which are informally not seen as one district. Plot Following the Olsen Gang's only successful robbery in the previous film, they are seemingly living the perfect life in the bathing sun in Mallorca, particularly Yvonne, who has turned into an alcoholic. The ''Olsen Gang'' ( da, Olsen-banden, no, Olsenbanden, german: Die Olsenbande) is a Denmark, Danish comedy film series created by Danish director Erik Balling and special effects expert Henning Bahs about the eponymous fictional criminal gang. The gang's leader is the criminal genius and habitual offender Egon Olsen and his accomplices are Benny and Kjeld (Kjell in Norwegian). The gang members are harmless, extremely rarely target ordinary citizens, and never deliberately use violence. The first film came in 1968; during the next thirty years a total of fourteen films were made. A Norwegian version of the film series was also made (a total of 14 films from 1969 to 1999), in most cases based directly on the scripts for the Danish films. Store Magleby
Store Magleby is a Danish town, seat with Dragør of the Dragør Municipality, in the Region Hovedstaden. Its population in 2009 was 2,000. History Traces of an early Iron Age settlement from about the year 200 AD have been found just south east of Store Magleby Church. In 1521 Christian II invited Dutch-speaking families (from especially Nieuwpoort and Mechelen in present-day Belgium) to settle in the parish and grow vegetables. On arrival they received existing farms. It is used to be thought that they came from Waterland, but nowadays it is believed the origins of at least some of the settlers lay elsewhere in the present-day Netherlands or even Flanders. Dutch continued in use in the village until the early 19th century, and it is still colloquially named Hollænderbyen ('Dutch town'). Fortifications Of Copenhagen (17th Century)
The fortifications of Copenhagen underwent a comprehensive modernization and expansion in the 17th century. The project was commenced and was largely the masterplan of Christian IV in the early 17th century but was continued and completed by his successors. The new fortifications relied on the existing, medieval fortifications of the city but the fortified area was extended and a defensive ring around the city completed particularly with new edifices facing the sea. The ring fortification consisted of four bastioned ramparts and an annexed citadel as well as various outworks. Though largely developed to a final form in the 17th century, the fortifications remained in use until the second half of the 19th century, when they finally, a long time overdue, were decommissioned. Today only the Christianshavn Rampart and the citadel Kastellet remain intact, while the rest of the fortifications were dismantled in the years after its demise.
