Amader Choto Russel Shona
Sheikh Russel (October 18, 1964 – August 15, 1975) was the youngest child of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the former President of Bangladesh. Russel and most of his direct family were killed in their home during the Assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, 1975 military coup. Early life Russel was born on October 18, 1964, at Bangabandhu Bhaban in Dhanmondi Thana, Dhanmondi, Dhaka, Bangladesh, the youngest child of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Begum Fazilatunnesa. Death Legacy Several athletic organizations in Bangladesh have been named in memory of Russel, including the professional football club Sheikh Russel KC, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra. Sheikh Russel KC ( Bengali: শেখ রাসেল ক্রীড়া চক্র) is a professional football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Founded in 1995, the club currently competes in the Bangladesh Premier League. Dhanmondi () is an upscale residential and commercial neighbourhood and a thana (police jurisdiction) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, known for its central location, cultural vibrancy and being home to the country's founding president, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
