Aló Ciudadano
''Aló Ciudadano'' (') was a Venezuelan talk show hosted by Leopoldo Castillo as the opposition counterpart of ''Aló Presidente'' launched by Hugo Chávez government in 1999. It was aired both on the Globovisión 24-hour television news network and Radio Caracas Radio (RCR) network until 2013. Format ''Aló Ciudadano'' was hosted by Leopoldo Castillo and co-hosted by journalist Sheila Chang Montero, Maria Alejandra Trujillo and Pedro Pablo Peñaloza. The show was interactive; people were able to call the show and give their opinions and/or complaints or they could send text messages, which appeared on the news ticker. Leopoldo Castillo conducted interviews and he usually discussed politics. Leopoldo Castillo began his show saying ''"Ciudadanos de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela"'' ("citizens of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela"). Helimenes Leopoldo Castillo Atencio (born 30 September 1946 in Maracaibo, Venezuela) also known as ''The Citizen'' is a Venezuelan lawyer, talk show host and political commentator. Castillo is best known for hosting the television ''program Aló Ciudadano'' on Globovisión, which gave citizens the right to speak both to defend themselves and to reply to any news that was on the air and was born in response to the president's ''Aló Presidente program,'' Hugo Chávez. Aló Ciudadano was on the air for twelve years and stopped broadcast on August 16, 2013 in a last broadcast where multiple journalists were being fired or resigned. Globovisión is a 24-hour television news network. It broadcasts over-the-air in Caracas, Aragua, Carabobo and Zulia on UHF channel 33. Globovisión is seen in the rest of Venezuela on cable or satellite (Globovisión has an alliance with DirecTV, where it can be seen on channel 110) and worldwide from their website. Freddy Alirio Bernal Rosales is a Venezuelan politician. He served as mayor of the Libertador Municipality in Caracas and is a member of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV). Alejandra Otero Ramia (born 18 May 1983) is a Venezuelan comedian and journalist.
