Alyas Batman En Robin
''Alyas Batman en Robin'' () is a 1991 Filipino musical-comedy superhero parody film based on the titular superheroes from DC Comics, Batman and Robin. It stars Joey de Leon as Batman, Rene Requiestas as the Joker, Dawn Zulueta as Angelique Legarda, Vina Morales as Vina, de Leon's son Keempee as Robin, and Panchito as the Penguin. Several songs in the film use melodies taken from other early rock and roll staples such as "At the Hop", " Bird Dog", " Lucille", and "Surfin' Safari". Originally produced by Viva Films, the film was delayed from its original release in early 1989 when Warner Bros. objected to the use of their characters' names and costumes. The film was eventually produced and released on April 6, 1991, albeit by Viva Film's rival studio, Regal Films. Jose Maria Ramos de Leon Jr. (born October 14, 1946), professionally known as Joey de Leon and also known as Henyo Master, is a Filipino comedian, actor, television host and songwriter. He is one of the members of the comedy trio, collectively known as TVJ with the Sotto brothers, Tito and Vic. Aside from being one of the pioneer hosts of ''Eat Bulaga!'', de Leon is also the creator of the said noontime variety show as recognized by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), and the co-founder of the show's production company, TVJ Productions. Ruben Matias Cayari (July 25, 1923 – April 7, 1994), professionally known as Ruben Rustia, was a Filipino actor and screenwriter. He is best known for his portrayal of President Ferdinand Marcos in the 1988 Australian miniseries ''A Dangerous Life''. "At the Hop" is a 1950s pop song written by Artie Singer, John Medora, and David White and originally released by Danny & the Juniors. The song was first issued circa October 1957 on a small Philadelphia label (Singular 711) and included a countdown, before being acquired by ABC-Paramount and reissued as ABC-Paramount 9871 in November.
